About the Role
As a Complex Care Assistant, you will provide specialist care to individuals with significant clinical needs, helping them live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
This role involves delivering personalised, one-to-one support, either independently or as part of a two-person team for double-up care packages.
Key Responsibilities
Specialist Clinical Support:
Deliver tracheostomy care, ventilation support, and respiratory management
Assist with PEG feeding and nutritional care
Administer and manage complex medication routines
Monitor clinical observations and respond appropriately to changes
Provide dignified personal care to individuals with physical disabilities
Care Delivery:
Follow detailed, clinician-led care plans
Maintain accurate care documentation and records
Communicate effectively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider team
Support clients with neurological conditions, life-limiting illnesses, and complex physical needs
Unlike standard homecare roles, this position involves advanced clinical responsibilities and enhanced training to safely manage complex health conditions.
Shift Patterns
Consistent shifts with regular clients
Day and night shifts available
8–12 hour shifts depending on care package
Monday to Sunday availability (weekend availability required)
Reliability is essential — once a shift is accepted, full attendance is expected

What You’ll Need
Essential Requirements:
Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work
Minimum 6 months’ paid UK care experience (complex care experience preferred)
Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high standards of care
Willingness to complete specialist complex care training
Desirable:
Experience in tracheostomy care, ventilation, or PEG feeding
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
(Comprehensive training is provided for candidates with the right values and experience.)
